T-Claude, a Hackberry Louisiana native was in New Orleans the morning that Hurricane Katrina hit. A month later, the eye of Hurricane Rita went directly over Hackberry. His family home went 8 feet under water. Many of his friends and family lost nearly everything.
One year out of law school, T-Claude represented more than 300 families as individual claims (flood and wind damage) along with many businesses.
T-Claude also headed a group that gathered evidence which was later used by various individuals, and lawyers beyond his firm, for free to disprove the insurance companies’ contentions of the sequences of when the flood waters arrived versus the hurricane force winds.
When Hurricane Ike hit Houston and South East Texas only two years later, Hackberry again was impacted. The flood waters were two feet higher than they were during Rita. T-Claude represented families who weren’t properly compensated across the path of the storm. He has continued to handle Property damage claims of all kinds since then.
